Rules for Joining E.U.N.
Overview:
- EUN is set up to promote student learning and empowerment
- EUN does not promote any specific political or social
philosophy
- EUN shares the results of student surveys and votes with others
- EUN is working to provide a program for students K-12
- EUN is committed to providing age-appropriate experiences for
students of all ages
Steps for Acceptance:
- Have certified that you are member of a school: public, private, or home school.
- Have an adult sponsor who is affiliated with a school.
- Have, for education purposes, agreed to establish some form of an independent classroom country as outlined
in the manuscript, "Developing a Classroom Country." (Note: This can either be a very simple classroom country or one that is very complex.)
- Have agreed to establish a monetary system and agreed to develop a "Classroom Privilege
Card" which will be auctioned off at the end of each week, to set the global exchange
rate. (not necessary in the spring of 1997 but eventually we would like to put this in the play of the simulation)
- Have agreed to use appropriate "net etiquette" in all dealings with participating
countries and their citizens.
