++++++++++++++  Resolution 1-1997-2  +++++++++++++++

1. The loss of trees in many places has come to our attention. Species of
2. animals, insects, and plants are becoming extinct. Habitats for people
3. and creatures are being destroyed. With your assistance, we are
4. determined to make a difference in the future of our planet, Earth.

5. The purpose of our resolution is to stop the logging in the rainforests.
6. Having examined and taken notes on much information--magazines,
7. encyclopedias, newspapers, and internet research, we have learned new
8. ways to help save trees. We are confident that by doing small things
9. that we can attempt to help save trees. Trees produce oxygen for man
10. and other living creatures.

11. The point of our resolution is to help save the Earth. As you can tell,
12. we are alarmed about the logging in the forests. The rainforest trees
13. and plants provide medicines and ingredients in medications used in
14. cures for leukemia and other types of cancer. The products will not be
15. available if the destruction of the rainforest continues. We urge
16. mankind to replace a tree when one is cut.

17. Are you anxious for a coke float? Many foods or their ingredients come
18. from the rainforest: peanuts, bubble gum, fruit, ice cream, coke,
19. chocolate, and many more. We affirm that if we do not stop the logging
20. in and the burning of the forests, there will not be many species of
21. rainforest animals left. We acknowledge and declare to all countries
22. that the rainforest is dying! With the death of the rainforest comes
23. the death of animal creatures and many human beings. In addition, other
24. living creatures are left homeless and have no place to go. We are
25. confident that you can help save the forests of the world by adopting
26. laws that limit the number of trees cut down per year and also state
27. criteria for cutting them.

28. The country of Guranga Danga urges you to do what we are doing. Our
29. country has adopted acres of rainforest in Belize, Panama, and Brazil to
30. help save our Earth. We accept the fact that money is important, but
31. realize that man has to consider that trees are just as important in
32. many ways. Guranga Danga asks that you consider joining forces with us.
