The Importance of Trees to Our Planet
One of the process objectives for this simulation revolves around the exploration of, and use of, resources on the net. We do not want to give you all the possible links, nor would that be feasible, but we give you a few here to get you started. We will also be providing our simulation users with a bulletin board where they can post great sites for use on the specific topic we will be exploring on any one particular month.

Gaia Forest Conservation Archives. It contains a lot of information relative to the effects of forest destruction. It also has some email-listservs that you can apply to which will provide you daily information relative to what is happening on the issue right now.

Rainforest Action Network is an organization dedicated to preserving the rainforests of the world.

The Sierra Club has an interesting site. This is also a good place to look for "Policy Statements" relative to the issue of trees. The club publishes on line its policy statements on a wide variety of issues. It may give you ideas you could use for your U.N. Proposition.
